About the FTCE Recruitment Program
The Florida Department of Education (the Department) has initiated activities to review and update the examinations that are needed for educator certification in Florida. The FTCE tests allow educator candidates to demonstrate their mastery of general knowledge, professional education competence, and subject area knowledge. The examinations are designed to be aligned with the Sunshine State Standards. The Department has contracted with the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson to assist in the test development and administration of these new examinations. Please help maintain high-quality education in Florida public schools by applying for participation in FTCE test development activities.
